Pros and cons of Haunted Hollow app for iPhone and iPad

Haunted Hollow app good for

Awesome fun game. Cant wait to try with other players. Wish it has more different monsters !
People dont know what is a 2 or 3 star game. Its a freemium, complaining the lack of variety in a free game that allows you to purchase more variety is simply pedantic. Pros: - Great setting, design, presentation, music and sounds. - Units are unique, adding great diversity to strategy. - The puzzle part of getting a Room "card" and building the mansion is cool. - The mixture of LoL lane fight with Point Control is a fresh idea - The Mob system is brilliant. Fits the theme, and works exactly how it should be. Cons: - IAP too expensive. The game should have a Full Package, buy once, get everything released and to-be-released. - Just one map. Many misleading comments here on the reviews. You dont buy extra maps, you can buy extra Mansion which determines the Monster classes youre allowed to bring to a match. Should have more maps, with 1 lane, 5 lanes, and different neighborhood settings. - AI too easy. Please add easy/normal/hard settings. - Broken MP/lack of players. I started 5 MP games, and no response yet. Maybe the game lacks community, or its broken, who knows. Fanboy gripes: - When you click on a space to move, a cool tooltip informs you which house you may haunt, or which monsters you may attack at given location. Please allow me to click at the tooltip, and be able to move AND interact automatically. Since there is a confirmation dialog, people wouldnt attack by mistake. - 2x2 players map. Allow a mixture of players/bots in this setting - improve changing from one MP game to another
I really like this turn-based strategy battle to scare all the villagers. As others have said, the single player AI is weak, and theres limited replay in the single player game, but the premise is solid and the execution is quite good, and seems like a good two player head to head game. The computer AI has all the expansions, but it doesnt seem to be much of an advantage (just variety), so I think concerns about the add-on costs are overblown. You can play just fine with the starting set of monsters, plus the reaper which is free with account registration. Id hope for better AI in future updates, and maybe some tweaks that make the board layout more varied, to reward replay.
When u lvl up for the fifth time in 1 game ur forced to either buy an upgrade thing or start a new game 4/5 has potential just need to fix that one thing then 5/5
Its great but I would appreciate it if I didnt have to buy monster packs for actual money.
This is a really fun game that I havent been able to put down! A couple of things dont make it a 5 star though. 1. Its the same level over and over again... Kinda boring. 2. I wish I you could pick the amount of Monsters you could use. 5 seems like a little bit of overkill. The most I ever use is 3. 3. The computer a.i. Is was too easy. 4. You have to pay for additional monsters. If they wanted to bump up replay value why not make you work towards unlocking them with a token system? Overall a good game. Its something that my friends and i have been and will be playing a lot!

Some bad moments

Tried starting the app 3 times on my 3GS. Always returned to my home screen in the middle of the loading screen.
Good turn based strategy game for the beginner. Graphics and music are nice. Not much replay value however, and all new levels and monsters have to be purchased.
This is a decent little strategy game. You can pick it up quick and its nice to have both hotseat and online multiplayer. It definitely held my attention for a couple games. There are a few major issues that kept me from really enjoying the game though: 1. Greedy IAP - The included game has very limited pieces and only one game board. Its ridiculous to have to pay $3 to get a new map and couple extra pieces (and the game nags you to do so on almost every screen). This game needs to charge a dollar or two total and not try to nickel and dime us to play with full content. 2. The AI is way too easy - Ive won every single game including the first tutorial. The AI plays very defensively and isnt a challenge at all. 3. Crashes - The game does have a tendency to crash a bit. At least it autosaves to the beginning of your next turn.
I tried the game and it seems fun but I could never get anywhere with the amount of coins given. Also, I found myself guessing at what to do next and that was with the tips option turned on.
Cant even finish a turn before it crashes out, thats if I can get into a level without it crashing...seems like it could fun otherwise
Game was fun at first, but after playing the only layout five or six times, it got boring quick. No real need to buy monsters when u can win without them. 1) need more levels/town layouts 2) maybe some kind of campaign mode? 3) earn tokens to unlock new monsters/items
